Today is the first day of spring, but it doesn’t look anything like that here. We had a snow storm yesterday, and it dumped nine and a half inches of snow on my house. I am nearly alone in being happy about this, but I do love snow.
This morning I took Penny down to Sandogardy Pond. I wore snowshoes, and she weasel-jumped most of the way. She’s sleeping on the floor near me right now, one tired doggie.
Anyhow, here are the shots I made while I was out.

Your post has me feeling better about the situation here, we only got six inches of snow yesterday. I like the photos, but to tell you the truth, I’m tired of the snow and I’m ready for spring.

I might be tired of snow if it stuck around until June. But in March, I still like it.

Beautiful snow. Enjoy it while it lasts!

That is my intent!

It looks like we got just about the same amount. It was hard to tell here because it changed to rain a few times. It looks like Penny found plenty of sticks! Is the 5th shot up from the bottom a stream or a small pond? It looks like it was ice free when the snow fell.

You mean the 15th? That was shot from the bridge you see on the 13th shot – looking downstream (i.e., face right on the bridge). Upstream towards the pond is shown in shot 14. This is the creek that drains Sandogardy Pond, and it does remain ice free throughout the winter.

Duh – reading your comments more carefully… The fifth shot from the BOTTOM is looking upstream from the middle of the bridge in the shot right before it. I have posted pics from that vantage point in the past. The water flows there year-round.
