In Canada, they say “zed” when they mean the letter Z. We Americans call that “zee.” The biggest problem I can see with this Canadian zed thing is that it completely destroys the alphabet song. But if they took it even further, all would be well. Here’s how it would go:

A, bed, said, dead, ed, ef, jed
H, eye, jay, kay, el, em, en, oh, ped
Cue, are, ess, ted, you, ved
double-U, ex, why, and zed!
Now I know my A, bed, saids,
Next time won’t you, uh… take your meds?
